At first you’ll think that Hereafter is just another sci-fi movie. But dare to see it, try to recognize a message this story sends to us, because it’s about life’s greatest mystery: death. It is great supernatural drama, directed by Clint Eastwood and this could be one of his most ambitious attempts to date.

The story is centered on three primary characters, their life and experiences. George (Matt Damon) has a complicated gift, special connection to afterlife, Marie (Cécile de France), a French journalist, has a near–death experience in Thailand, and Marcus (Frankie/George McLaren), a London schoolboy loses the person closest to him. So here we have three story lines, which will intersect and come to the same question: what may or may not happen after we pass on, in the hereafter.
In this movie Clint Eastwood brought together actors of different ages and nationalities, which makes everything even more interesting, alive and convincing. Still it wouldn’t be it without Damon who finds legitimacy with the audience through his convincing depiction of George’s struggle and in this movie is everything that Johnny Smith is in The Dead Zone. So if you liked this show, you’ll also grow on Hereafter.
